Maurício de Moura Costa: PhD in Economic Law from the University of Paris II, has 30 years of experience in commercial and economic law, expertise in mergers and acquisitions, banking and finance, capital markets and commercial contracts in general. For the past 15 years, he has worked as an executive in environmental finance. He is a founding member and CEO of BVRio and president of E2 Brazil Socio-Environmental. He was director of EcoSecurities for South America.

Marcelo Hercowitz: Economist a degree from PUC/SP and a master’s degree in Ecological Economy and Socio-Environmental Management from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. He has over 20 years of experience providing consulting services to companies, the public sector and the third sector. He has experience in environmental valuation, public policy development, environmental impact studies, low carbon agriculture, and economic instruments for conservation, among others.

Beto Mesquita: Forestry engineer and PhD in Environmental and Forestry Sciences. As BVRio’s director of Forests and Public Policy, he is responsible for liaising partners and institutional representative in various forums. He coordinates projects in the areas of forestry, sustainable production and public policy.

Daniela Pires e Albuquerque: Lawyer a major in Public, Administrative and Environmental Law, working for 20 years in the environmental management of the public service. She was Head of Legal Advice of IEF / RJ, going on to become Legal Advisor of FEEMA / RJ. She was twice Chief of Staff of IEF/RJ. She was a consultant for the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and special advisor to the Superintendence of IBAMA/RJ. At INEA/RJ, she was Coordinator of Biodiversity Protection Mechanisms and Substitute Director of Biodiversity and Protected Areas. She has also worked as Chief of Service at the Superintendence of Biodiversity and Forests of the State Secretariat of Environment and Legal Manager of a Social Organisation in Rio de Janeiro. She is the author of several articles and publications on biodiversity conservation topics, mainly on land title regularisation, Private Natural Heritage Reserves and other Special Protected Areas.

Pedro Miguel: Pedro Miguel is a forestry engineer specialising in Forest Management and has an MBA in Agribusiness. His expertise includes forestry, agriculture, economics and renewable energy. At BVRio, Pedro is a Project Manager in the areas of Forestry, Land Use and the Bioeconomy.

Cláudia Jeunon: Public Relations professional, Cláudia is specialist in Marketing and Finance from ESPM and e-business from Fundação Getúlio Vargas. With over 20 years of experience in the management of third-sector organisations and sustainability, she worked in the forestry sector at Jari Celulose.

Flávia Ribeiro: Journalist from PUC-RJ and Lawyer, Flavia is a specialist in Marketing (ESPM-RJ), MBE in Social Responsibility and Third Sector (UFRJ), following a Master’s degree in Psycho-Sociology of Communities and Social Ecology at UFRJ. She has more than 20 years of experience in Communications and Sustainability an extensive background in strategic planning, media advisory, social media, events, GRI reports, social responsibility projects and socio-environmental diagnostics. She has worked in large PR agencies, Vale, Votorantim, CEBDS and, in 2020, as a consultant for Klabin. At Rio+20, she worked on an advocacy campaign for sustainable agriculture and cattle ranching for World Animal Protection, where she was Communications Manager.

Márcia Silveira: Administrator. Management of administrative and financial activities, including overseeing the implementation of internal control policies, monitoring cash flow and legal and financial commitments, and liaising accounting. At BVRio, she is responsible for preparing financial reports for partners and donors, managing the annual budget the board of directors, and monitoring audits.

Francisco Godoy: Geographer, responsible for the analysis, in the first instance, of all the identified opportunities for the development of environmental assets, especially in the area of forests; prepares studies and analyses that are applied as inputs for the development of proposals; contributes technical support to the execution of ongoing projects.

Rosangela Campello: She has more than 15 years of experience in the administrative area and has worked as an Executive Secretary in national and international companies. Responsible for BVRio’s secretarial activities, preparing control sheets, correspondence, travel expense reports, keeping files updated and in order, and managing contact lists and calendars.

Uriel Bertoche: IT analyst more than 12 years of experience in the area. At BVRio, he manages the development of platforms, systems and software; acts as a bridge between the areas and projects that require IT products and services and the specific team; leads the development and operation of BVRio’s platforms and applications; studies the use and viability of new technologies and ensures the availability of BVRio’s services.

Paulo Henrique: IT Analyst. At BVRio, he works as a front-end developer, implementing new functionalities and UI features for our platforms. He also assists in the development of new websites and platforms, always attentive to emerging technologies and improved security practices.
